Family law

Let’s get down to business tonight and talk about when our family laws were created.

The first mention of “law” regarding family was with Abraham’s father, Terah.
Genesis 11:31: And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son’s son and Sarai, his daughter in law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.
Genesis 20:10-12: And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing? And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake. And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

The following paragraphs are from my book. I have a diagram in the book that better explains the situation, but this is the best that I can do on Facebook.

“God took Abraham from the land of his father’s family for a reason. This is the first time that it is recorded that family positions were based upon a law. But the unique thing here is that Sarai was Terah’s daughter, but he still referred to her as his daughter-in-law. His second wife was most likely referred to as his wife-in-law.

Terah’s marriage to his second wife was based upon a law, a man’s law. Also, Terah’s first wife might have been considered a central figure the family. The “in-law” terminology most likely indicated that, though a law, the wife-in-law (the second wife) and her children could be divorced and forced to leave the family if her presence caused too many problems for the nuclear family to bear. Hagar is a good example of this scenario.”

Today, we are all expendable and replaceable! Who took the laws one step further and why? I will try to explain this in my future posts.

Our men and their salvation

God created men to provide for the physical needs of His family. A man’s devotion to God’s family is so important that Jesus suggested castration. Jesus said in Matthew 19:12 , “For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb; and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men; and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.”

Which family did the right thing?

Which family did the right thing?

My family: My mother left her second husband and my father with five small children. My father went home to the children of his first family.

My husband’s family: My husband’s father left his wife and son for another woman, married her, and had children with her. Another man married my husband’s divorced mother and had children with her.

Jesus said in Luke 16:18, “Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery; and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.”

Adultery and its cost

Jesus came to preach to the poor, to heal the broken hearted, to set the captives free, to help the blind see, and to free the bruised. (Matthew 4:18)
The children of the first family are big business for the children of men. These children do not have fathers because their fathers are with another woman. These children are the ones that are most likely to be aborted, severely injured, and murdered. The children of our first families and their children provide jobs for doctors, psychiatrists, lawyers, prison guards, jail guards, law enforcement, and police. These children cannot cry out for help because what is wrong is right in this world – what should be illegal is legal. Adultery, the act of bringing unrelated adults into the family home, is the most damaging thing that parents can do to their children. Adultery is the seed that leads to violence and its prevalence is increasing exponentially as more and more people commit adultery.

Mary never abandoned Jesus!

One other interesting thought to share…Mary, Jesus’ mother never abandoned her first born son, Jesus, to stay with the children that she had with Joseph. She stayed with Jesus all the way to the cross and then she still did not abandon her firstborn son. She went and stayed with John, the disciple that Jesus loved. She did not stay with Joseph’s children. Her devotion was always for her firstborn child of her first family! (John 19:26-27) If only our men could be as devoted to the children of their first family as Mary was to her firstborn child. This world would be a much different place than it is today, if our fathers would only respect God’s plan for His family!

Jesus was homeless

Today, I will touch on the problem of homelessness. The first person that comes to my mind is Jesus. He said in Matthew 8:20, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.” How could it have been that Jesus himself was homeless? First of all, family law was similar to ours so I think that when Joseph, Jesus’ step-father died, most if not all of the family property went to Jesus’ half brothers and sisters just as it happened in my husband’s family. None of Jesus’ half brothers believed in him, so it is safe to assume that there was animosity and division within Jesus’ family.
Jesus did not have an earthly father to protect him, just as my husband did not have an earthly father because his father was with another woman. My husband’s father sent a telegram four days after his birth to say, “I am fine…I love the two of you.” He never mentioned when he might come so see his firstborn son or his wife. How many men abandon their firstborn sons and daughters for another woman? Far too many, I am afraid. Can you imagine how my husband’s mother must have felt to deliver a man’s child knowing that he had no desire to be a father to that child? Jesus said in Matthew 18:6, (Luke 17:2, Mark 9:42) “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe, unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!”

Protect the first family!

Jacob kept his generations perfect by keeping his second wife Leah in second position within his family. Rachel lived with Jacob, while Leah did not. Leah’s sons with Jacob wanted to kill Joseph, Rachel’s son.The children of the first family must be protected because quite often the children of the second family desire to kill and replace the children of the first family. This is the reason why a simple family is much easier to manage than a complex family unit. If you look closer at Jacob’s family, you will also notice that Leah’s sons had little respect for Jacob, their own father. Jacob did the right thing, though. He kept his first family FIRST!

In our country, everything goes to the second wife and her children. They become the heirs to everything or almost everything. My husband got a pair of house shoes from his natural father – they got everything else! But for some reason, I still don’t think that the children of the second family really love their father even in this scenario.

Hagar’s son Ishmael, Abraham’s son, wanted to take Isaac’s place within the family also. Abraham and Sarah ended up sending Hagar and Ishmael away in order to protect Isaac.

The Natural Family

Many may wonder about the importance of the first family, but I think that Jesus referred to it in Matthew 7: 13-14. He said, “Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” In Matthew 7:21 he also said, “Not every one that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” God loves his family just as all of us should. Fathers should love all of their children – not just the children that are born of the woman with whom they currently reside. Our fathers should love their children by keeping their generations perfect. This one rule permits the children of the first family to hold their natural position within the family unit.

Kingdoms…which one matters?

Question: What did Jesus mean when he said in Matthew 8:11-12, “That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”?
Answer: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are our examples of fatherhood and family men. The children of the kingdom are the ones that accept the family laws of this land and embrace them because these laws benefit them the most. Our laws are written for the destruction of the first family and not the maintenance of the entire family.
Question:Can anyone guess when these laws were created and who created them? Furthermore, just a reminder, Jesus spoke out against our existing family laws that were in effect 2000 years ago. Didn’t anyone hear his message? Why hasn’t anything changed?
Answer: It took me a 290+ pages to try to comprehensively explain this. I am going to do my best to lead you to the same conclusion that I have reached after ten years of work – one post at a time.

What is the first family?

Question: Do all of you know who I am referring to when I say, “Save the first family?”
Answer: I am referring to a virgin man and a virgin woman that lay together and the children that are produced from that union – this is the first family. It is about the commitment of two virgin people to become a union of one – husband, wife, and family. Following a divorce, neither spouse can officially remarry or move in with another person. If they do, this is when the family is separated and the children of the first family fall through the cracks. Marriage is a one time thing or at least Jesus thought so.
