Our personal responsibility is to love others

We live in a day and age when we depend upon magistrates and judges to tell us what is right and wrong. And for wrongs done against us, many want money or prison time as compensation. Debts and transgressions are not forgiven without payment in full. Rather than solving our problems by ourselves we need help from lawyers. It seems that we are living in a day and age like the one Jesus lived in – we no longer know how to judge what is right because we have stopped loving each other. The root of this problem appears to come from our lack of love for our children and our families. Many think that adultery is love, but in actuality it is about selfishness rather than love. For this reason, it is wrong to hold our children accountable for their sins while we praise the adulterers for their unloving choices.

Jesus said, “Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern the time? Yes, and why, even of yourselves judge ye not what is right? When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer deliver thee into prison. I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.”(Luke 12:56-59)

Jesus’ Mission

All of us get to choose who is most important. Some fathers will choose their second wife over their firstborn son from their first marriage. A mother will choose her second husband over her daughter from her first marriage. The mother in law, a man’s second wife, will be against the woman that married his son from his first marriage. Adultery does all of this and more. Breaking a family apart creates chaos rather than unity within families. The only way to keep a family united is to respect each member of the family and their position within the family. The most important rule is to always keep the first family first! Husbands do not cheat on your wives and wives do not cheat on husbands. Both are sins against the first family!  No new members are brought into the family unless it is a joint decision.

Jesus said, “I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straightened till it be accomplished! Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division. For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against the daughter in law, and the daughter in law against the mother in law.” (Luke 12: 49-53)

The Four Types of Husband: Part 5

Men were created to provide for the physical needs of God’s family. For those men that have laid with a woman and have children with her, his commitment is required as a part of his salvation. A first wife and children are not things that can be abandoned and replaced with another woman and her children. A man is accountable for his entire family.

Jesus said, “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.”(Luke 12:48)

If a man has been given a wife and children, much is required. He cannot walk away from his family. And for those men that have committed themselves to their first wife and children more will be asked of them because his family members trust and love him.

The Four Types of Husbands: Part 4

The fourth type of husband is a very special one. Given the right circumstances, he could have been an absolutely wonderful husband, but because of situations beyond his control he will never be able to rise to his potential. This is why I have said that adultery is very damaging to our sons. When you have adulterers living in the home, many things are taken from the children of the first family and given to the children and adults of the second family. These sons in many cases are stripped of their social position within the family and replaced by the children of the second family. As Jesus said, they will have to bear a burden grievous to be borne. As a result, they will do things that the step parents and adulterous parents did to them when they were too young to understand. They will imitate the adulterers’ behavior and in many cases treat their children the way that they were treated because it is all that they know.

Jesus said, “But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes.”(Luke 12:48)
