Single Parent

What exactly does the term “single parent” mean?
According to Urban Dictionary, “Single parent means the parent is the only parent to the child, responsible for all financial, material, and emotional needs. It means there is an absence of the other parent as opposed to a co-parent, meaning that the parent is not the only parent regardless of whether or not they are a couple.”

Many people seem to think that women give birth to children through a process called parthenogenesis whereby no male was involved in the conception. Many men do not seem to understand that when an egg and their sperm unite that a new life is created. For this reason, many men will lay with a woman and then leave. The good time was had and now they can find another body to lay. It doesn’t work this way unless God does the fertilization as with Mary, Jesus’ mother. It is every man’s responsibility to be present for the care and nurturing of the next generation.
