God’s Plan Ended with Jacob

God planned to bless all of the families of the earth. He began his plan by removing Abram; who would later be called Abraham; from his country, his relatives, his father’s house, and his land. He was going to wipe the slate clean. His plan continued with Isaac and Jacob. All three of these men kept their first family first. But everything changed with Jacob’s children. The second family, Leah and her sons, worked against the first family and especially against the firstborn son of the first family, Joseph. Because of what the sons of Leah did, Joseph was completely removed from his father’s land and family and sold into slavery. This is when God’s plan ended and he would later make the decision to send his own son to try to turn things around. Jesus said, “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24) But men failed to listen. Men still continue divorcing and remarrying, marrying divorced women, and taking multiple women at the same time without loving them and keeping their first family first. It is time that we begin using Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as our examples of family and put the first family first and not last!
