Followers are constantly looking for heroes. Some follow football stars, soccer stars, actors, singers, inventors, and even doctors. Many will worship these men as though they were God on Earth. They will flock to gatherings in order to worship them. But according to Jesus many of these heroes will gain recognition around the world and yet, because they did not keep the commandments, will not make it to Heaven. We must be careful about who we follow. Worship only one – God!
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.” (Matthew 16:26-27)
