Jesus was the greatest doctor and physician of all time. The only problem is that we have trusted in men instead of God to take care of our mental and physical health. In many cases, what they teach is contradictory to what Jesus taught.
Jesus made a very profound statement when he said, “But when thou doesn’t alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth. That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.” (Matthew 6:3-4)
We have two different sides to our brain – the left side and the right side. In many cases, the dominating side of our brain determines how we think and affects the decisions that we make. In the case mentioned above, Jesus talked about the left hand and the right hand. He said not to let “the left hand know what the right hand” is doing. In this scripture, he is telling us that when we let the left hand know, the ego side of our brain takes over and when this happens, we may feel boastful and proud of what we have done by giving a contribution. Our gifts should be done in secret – don’t let your ego side know what you are doing. We can determine which side rules by controlling the way that we think. There are many different scriptures spoken by Jesus that cover this topic.
