Jesus said in Matthew 19:30, “But many that are first shall be last, and the last shall be first.”
Jacob had twelve sons which are the founders of the twelve tribes of Israel (Jacob). They were born in the following order:
Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah (with Leah, Jacob’s second wife)
Dan and Naphtali (with Bilhah, Rachel’s handmaid)
Gad and Asher (with Zipah, Leah’s handmaid)
Issachar and Zebulon (with Leah, Jacob’s second wife)
Joseph and Benjamin (with Rachel, Jacob’s first wife)
Leah’s sons were born first in Jacob’s family and wanted to be first. Jacob emphasized their position within his family by keeping Leah, their mother, second by not moving in with her.
Rachel was first in Jacob’s life and family. Jacob reserved the primary position within his family for Rachel’s children. Rachel’s children were born last and yet immediately moved into first position when they were born. Leah’s sons, Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, were born first, but are last. Rachel’s sons, Joseph and Benjamin, were born last and yet they became first.
Jesus said in Matthew 19:9, “And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery; and whosoever marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.”
The first man will put his children with his second wife first because he is living with his second wife. The second man, the man that marries the divorced mother, will put his children that he has with her before the child or children of her first marriage. Both men are taking advantage of and replacing the children of the first family with their children. This is an awful position that these men are putting the children of the first family in – one where there are many sacrifices that must be made in order to accommodate the children of men or the children of adultery as they should be called. Save the first family!
