How important is the first family?

When Jesus said the following words to his disciples, “Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery, and whosoever marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery”, his disciples responded by saying, “If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.”

Jesus said in response, “All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.”

For the others, he recommended castration. “For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.” (Matthew 19:9-12)

First of all, every man gets to choose for himself. Ultimately, his or her decision will determine their future. The first family is not an option, it is a requirement. A man without his first wife, a woman without her first husband, and children without a father or a mother is something that God does not permit. Our first family is the cornerstone of our entire family, but to divorce and move in with a second spouse is not permitted. In order to enter into the kingdom of heaven, our first family must be first and the children of our first family must be our cornerstones. Save the first family!
