Straight is the gate

Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-15, “Enter ye in at the strait gate for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be that go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

I believe that our salvation is through our first families and keeping our family unit intact and not broken. We can divorce, but we must never remarry. When remarriage occurs, it destroys the possibility that the two will ever come together again. Iniquity is one of our greatest problems around the world, but it starts with adultery. Adultery, the act lusting and of putting someone other than our first spouse into the primary position in our lives, compromises our families. Today, there are many pastors that will marry the divorced. For this reason iniquity abounds and most have chosen the wide gate rather than the narrow gate. Adultery is the seed to most of our other sins. Our children need a mother and a father that are devoted to their family and not someone else’s family. Marriage is a partnership between the husband and the wife – one that consists of love, repentance, and forgiveness rather than fear and punishment. Save the first family!
