Responsibility

Who does God hold responsible for the break-up of the first family? Here are some scriptures that answer this question.

First of all the first couple is no longer two, but one. Matthew 19:6, “Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.”

According to Matthew and Mark’s eye witness account of what Jesus said, the responsibility lies with the first one that leaves their first spouse and marries another.

Matthew 5:32, “For I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.”

Mark 10:11-12, “And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.”

Who is Satan? Satan can be anyone that tempts us to do wrong. Even Peter himself was called “Satan” by Jesus. Matthew 16:23, “Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offense unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.” Adultery is committed by men and women. Save the first family!
