Matthew 10:36-38, :”And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.”
Jesus spoke about “in-laws” – mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, etc. Family based upon a lawyer’s law and not God’s law is not “FAMILY”. Abraham is an example of a man that did not love his father more than God. He took Sarah and left his father’s land and his father’s family that his father had with his second wife. There are many men that will put the children of their second wife first in their life. These men love this son or daughter more than Jesus too. If the second family is more important, then the man’s family is not based upon God’s word – it is based upon “laws”. Just look around you today and see how many of our men are living with their second wife and his family with her. It is only through the first family that the entire family can be blessed. Our first family must be the primary heirs of their father and his property. Like Leah and her sons that she had with Jacob, the second family tends to be very selfish. Jacob never put his second family before his first family. Jesus took a stand for the first wife and the children of the first wife. Jesus was the firstborn son of Mary and God. He is the cornerstone, the child of the first family, that so many do not love. CHOOSE THE RIGHT! Save the first family!
