Why didn’t Jesus say “Israel”?

Jesus said in Matthew 8:11-12, “That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

It is important to note here that Jesus did not call Jacob “Israel”. It is the children of the house of Israel (Jacob) that established the “legal” family laws that countries around the world embrace today. Jesus said that he came for “the lost children of the house of Israel”, the children of Jacob’s second family with Leah, Jacob’s second wife.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are our examples of family, fatherhood, and family men. The children of the kingdom are the ones that accept the family laws of this world and embrace them because these laws benefit them the most. Our laws are written for the destruction of the first family and not the maintenance of the entire family. Jesus spoke out against our existing family laws that were in effect 2000 years ago.

Our children need our help and our protection! Click the link and buy a copy of the book called “The Step-Father’s Step-Son: A Story for Women” to learn more about this problem and how to fix it.
