Love

Women are commanded by God to love others. This means that we are to love a man’s wife and a father’s children by refusing to become sexually involved with this man. The family comes first and it is sinful to break up a family in order to get a man.

Men are commanded by God to love others. This means that they are to love a woman’s husband and a mother’s children by refusing to become sexually involved with this woman. The family comes first and it is sinful to break up a family in order to get a woman.

God’s love

God obviously loves his children and families very much because Jesus, his Son, said in Matthew 5:27-28, “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” God really does expect men to keep their generations perfect. It is just that important because our children are our future and not another woman. Our men are commanded to love and remain loyal to their first wife.

Family

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27). We are all “man”, as in “human”, and we are either male or female since God separated the genders. We are all created in God’s image and likeness (Genesis 5:1). Marriage is a partnership where two people become one flesh – both working together to tend the garden and our families properly with love not fear. Considered in that image, our family is a part of Jesus’ vine within the garden, with branches of children and generations of families running through time. God expects us to keep our generations perfect. There can be no “secret” family members. The entire family unit is kept intact and all members are valued. Our children are our future.

Two becoming one

Jesus said in Matthew 19:6, “Wherefore they are no more twain (two), but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.” The first wife and the first husband are partners in raising and protecting their family. This means that we must not let any other man or woman separate our first family.

Which came first…the chicken or the egg?

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living soul (Genesis 2:7). He did not create man as male or female in the beginning but as “male and female” (Genesis 1:27; Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:6). He did not create only one man; instead, He created them! Furthermore, He called them all “Adam” because they most likely all looked alike in the beginning. “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it” (Genesis 1:28). In the beginning, God played the role of Father exclusively. It all happened inside Adam’s body just as Mary gave life to Jesus! There are female creatures alive today, that have the ability to reproduce without a male and the product is always a male. This is what is called parthenogenesis. Eve was the mother of all living- even Adam said so himself (Genesis 3:20). A womb was a requirement for giving life to each new “living soul” (Genesis 2:7). Jesus could never have lived had it not been for Mary, Jesus’ mother, and God, Jesus’ Father. Males were created to provide for the physical needs of God’s family, but how many actually love their family enough to fulfill that role?
