Matthew 18:6, Mark 9:42, Luke 17:2
One part of these scriptures is written to protect children from harm – the other part is written to ask for compassion for the ones that sin against us. These scriptures give us greater understanding of the underlying causes of sin in our adult population. The truth is…adultery is very harmful to children. Do not commit adultery!
Wife and husband-in-laws will dominate the child’s parents especially if this is their first marriage. Also, their three children outnumber the one child from the parent’s first family. It is four against two.
Adultery within families is abnormal and puts unhealthy stresses upon our children.
Jesus said, “Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.”(Luke 16:18)
An adulteress will walk all over a man if he is not careful! When a man makes the foolish mistake of committing adultery, he has the potential of loosing everything and most especially the first family that he loves. Adultery is not worth the cost. Do not cross the line. Do not eat of the forbidden fruit. If you do, it is a life changing experience. Love!
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob blessed their cornerstones, but adulterers and adulteresses emasculate our males.
Abraham’s father, Terah, was not mentioned by Jesus. Terah left his first wife, Abraham’s mother, to live with his wife-in-law. Many men do this today.
It really does matter! Our men are not blessing their sons – they are blessing the woman with whom they have committed adultery!
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21
“And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven, But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 8:11-12
Do not commit adultery!
