The Four Types of Husbands: Part 3

There are many men that walk away from their family and move in with another woman. Other men give no thought when given the opportunity to marry a woman that is separated from her husband or has children with another man. These men trust other men instead of trusting God. Men are not God and it is a great mistake to trust in their laws regarding God’s family!

Jesus said, “And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.”(Luke 12:47)

“Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.”(Luke 16:18)

These are two examples of men that have no respect for God’s family. In the same way, a woman must not put away her husband and marry another man! If there are problems in the home, either may leave to live separately until a compromise is made or a resolution is found. The husband and the wife are one and inseparable in God’s eyes. Let no man or woman separate what God has joined together!

The Four Types of Husbands: Part 2

There are many men that think that they can do whatever they please within the four walls of the family home. Some think that they can beat their wife and children. Others think that they can leave their wife for another woman if she doesn’t please them in every way. Some get drunk and others get drunk on their freedom because there is no one else that sees what goes on in the family home.In the end, God will separate this husband and cast him out with the unbelievers.

Jesus said, “But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming, and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him asunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.”(Luke 12:45-46)

The Four Types of Husbands: Part I

Our husbands fit into four different categories as defined by Jesus. The best husband is the first husband that is described in the next two verses. A faithful and wise husband is the one that is devoted to his first family. The lord will make him ruler over all that he has not by force but because of the love that his wife and children have for him. This man is God’s servant to God’s family and his blessings will be many.

Jesus said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.” (Luke 12:42-44)

The Rich Man

Loving others, helping others, serving others, walking with others, comforting others – these are works that are stored in heaven. Unfortunately, there are some that value gold, silver, and money more than God and his family! Do not use your hands or your feet to hurt your family by committing adultery.

Jesus said this parable, “The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years, take thine ease, eat, drink and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”(Luke 12:16-21)
