“The Cinderella Effect”

According to psychology today.com, “The Cinderella effect is well substantiated in crime data. Children growing up in step families are about 40 times as likely to be abused and 140 times as likely to be murdered as children growing up with both natural parents (murder being a low probability). Jesus was a step-father’s step-son also. He said in Matthew 18:10-11, “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven! For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.” I don’t have time to write more, but go to your bible and continue reading. Step-parents are separating our children from God, their Father! Do not commit adultery!

Parents Behind Bars

“2.7 million children have a parent behind bars – 1 in every 28 children (3.6 percent) has a parent incarcerated, up from 1 in 25 just 25 years ago. Two-thirds of these children’s parents were incarcerated for non- violent offences.” prison fellowship.org

In natural families, parents bless and uplift their children. When adultery is involved, a child’s parents make their second family into their primary family. The children of the first family are stripped of their natural blessings. Many of these children will grow up living part of their life in jail or prison. Our fathers need to come home!

“Survey of Youth in Custody”

“The 1987 “Survey of Youth in Custody” found that 70% did not grow up with both parents…youths in father-absent families (mother only, mother-stepfather, and relatives/other) still had significantly higher odds of incarceration than those from mother-father families.” Kay Hymowitz, familyinequality.wordpress.com

This study was done thirty years ago, but still applies today. The warnings are everywhere. Adultery is harmful to our children! Do not let anyone separate your family! Furthermore, do not tempt a parent to leave their first family for you.

The Revolving Door

Our children need their fathers more than the other woman needs their father. If sin must be paid with punishment, then there must be forgiveness rather than more punishment after their release. Their slate should be wiped clean. They need jobs and money just like the rest of us in order to survive and to provide for their families! But jail time is one way to eliminate the children of the first family. In this way, the man and his second wife can be first and not last! We abort, abandon, and imprison the children of the first family. Save the first family!
